Forms on your site that start customer journeys

A test, a sign-up or a request on your own page. Every response goes straight into your CDP and can enroll the person in a customer journey within seconds.

A test on your landing page, a webinar sign-up, a demo request. Today those responses usually end up in a form tool, and someone exports them, cleans them up and uploads them before anyone can write to each person. By then the interest has cooled.

You can now build embedded forms inside Boom. They live on your own page, every response goes straight into your CDP, and every submission records an event your customer journeys can start on within seconds.

How it works

Go to Settings › Lead Capture, click New and pick Embedded form. From there:

  • Build the steps. Each step groups questions: short or long answer, email, phone, number, one choice, several choices, dropdown, scale or text only.
  • Add a score if you want. Scored answers add up, and the total picks the ending the person sees: a message, a button or a jump to the page you choose.
  • Publish and paste one tag. The form is edited as a draft and reaches visitors when you publish it and set it Active. It only loads on the sites you allow.

What each response does

Each response creates or updates the person in People, with their email, their phone and the answers you choose to save on their profile. It also records an event named after your form, such as test_estres_submitted, with the result, the score and the visit's UTM tags.

With that event, a customer journey sends each person what fits their result: a WhatsApp with their result, an email with the webinar recording or a call for whoever asked for a demo. Your segments can filter by it too. Hidden fields add data from the page, such as a campaign or an ID from your own system.

Responses live in the form's Responses tab, with views, completion rate and Export CSV. Ones that look like spam are kept apart.

Sensitive questions

Mark a question Sensitive when it is about health or something similar. That answer is stored encrypted, never travels on the event and is shown only to teammates with access to sensitive data. A form like that asks for consent to process the answers, with a link to your privacy notice, before it can be published.

When someone asks you to stop

From a response you can Withdraw consent: the person goes on your Do Not Contact list, their WhatsApp and email opt-ins turn off, and their running journeys stop. Erase deletes all their responses and the events they created right away. Responses also delete themselves after the form's retention period, a year by default.

From the API and MCP

You can also create, publish and read forms and their responses with the REST API and with MCP, so a connected AI tool can build a form for you.

Turn it on: ask Boom

Embedded forms are turned on per workspace. Write to us and we'll turn them on for your account.

There is no conditional logic between questions yet; the documentation says what it covers today.
