Boom vs Braze
Boom starts the win-back, the onboarding nudge or the renewal, reads whatever the customer writes back, acts on it and turns the answer into data.
The main difference
An AI agent that writes first and reads every reply, on WhatsApp, SMS, email or a call, and turns it into data.
Enterprise cross-channel campaigns, orchestrated in Canvas by your lifecycle marketing team.

Which one should you choose?
Choose Boom if:
- Your customers reply in free text, and the answer can’t hinge on matching a quick-reply button.
- You want an AI agent that starts the conversation and holds it, in production today, not in beta.
- You need a shared inbox where a person takes over, without wiring up an external system.
- You want the agent to ask the follow-up, then turn the whole answer into typed fields and reports.
Choose Braze if:
- Your main job is push, in-app and email promotions for a very large mobile audience.
- Your data team wants zero-copy segments built straight from the warehouse with Connected Sources.
- You want 1:1 decisioning by reinforcement learning, with BrazeAI Decisioning Studio.
- You need LINE, KakaoTalk or RCS as channels next to push and in-app.
What comes with Boom
- 01
Connects to your database
Plug in a read-only database, Shopify, Skio or the events API. The agent reads live data, so there is never a CSV to upload.
- 02
An agent live in two days
Connect a channel, pick who to reach and review the first conversations. Your agent is talking to customers in two days.
- 03
Replies become data
Define the fields you want to learn. Boom fills them from every conversation and rolls them into a report you can export.
Boom vs Braze, answered
Is Boom a Braze alternative?
Yes. Boom runs the lifecycle journeys teams build in Braze, like win-back, onboarding and renewal, and adds an agent that holds the conversation on WhatsApp, SMS, email or a call, a shared inbox, and extraction that turns replies into data.
What about Braze’s Conversational Agents?
Braze announced them in beta on September 29, 2026, for WhatsApp, SMS, RCS and web, and describes them as responding to customers. It has not published a general release date or a price. Boom’s agent starts the conversation, can switch to a call and hands off to a person in a shared inbox.
Can I keep Braze for push and in-app?
You can. Braze is strong at push, in-app and email promotions. Boom takes the conversations that follow, and the data they leave behind.
How long does switching take?
Days. Connect WhatsApp, point Boom at your data, rebuild one Canvas as a journey and review the first conversations before going to full volume.
